Mandatory Provider Workshops
The Valley Area Agency on Aging (VAAA) will be hosting Provider Workshops for those interested in providing senior services through the Direct Purchase of Service and Older Americans Act funding
Direct Purchase of Service contracts are available for service in Genesee, Lapeer and Shiawassee Counties, for services such as homemaker, personal care, transportation, private duty nursing, respite care, durable medical equipment, etc. The Mandatory meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 3:00 p. ALL TV BROADCASTS TO BECOME DIGITAL
Regular TV, as we know it, will change one year from now, on February 17, 2009. On that date, TV stations will stop broadcasting over-the-air analog TV, and begin broadcasting digital TV. [read more]

WHO CAN GET A REBATE CHECK?
There are two ways to qualify:
• Most individuals who pay federal income taxes for 2007 will qualify. Individuals will receive a rebate check ranging from $300 - $600, and couples will receive between $600-$1200. [read more]
